FX Expo Global Medellín May 2025

Main exhibition floor at FX Expo Global Medellín May 2025, Convention Center · May 2025

FX Expo Global made history in Latin America with its first edition in Medellín, held May 16–18, 2025. With 7,267 registrations, 30 sponsors and exhibitors, and 40 international-caliber speakers, the event did not just exceed expectations — it redefined what is possible at a trading conference in the region. It was more than an event; it was a declaration: Latin America is now a global trading epicenter.

For three days, traders, brokers, educators, and fintech entrepreneurs from across the region converged on Medellín to connect, learn, and collaborate. The hallway conversations were as valuable as the stage presentations. The alliances forged during the event continue to generate opportunities months later. The energy was electric, the quality of participants exceptional, and the impact is still being felt across Latin America.

The Start of a New Ecosystem de trading en LATAM

For years, Latin American traders had to look to New York, London, or Singapore for inspiration, education, and industry connections. FX Expo Medellín 2025 changed that. For the first time, the region had its own world-class trading mega event. Local traders did not need to travel to another continent — Medellín became the destination.

What was especially notable was the quality of attendees. These were not curious beginners looking to make quick money. They were experienced traders, fund managers, fintech entrepreneurs, and serious industry professionals. Many traveled from other countries to attend. International flights to Medellín filled up. Hotels near the event reached capacity. The city became a genuine trading hub for those three days.

Voices That Move the Market

The conference program was structured to maximize learning, regardless of the attendee's experience level. From technical analysis sessions to regulation talks, from DeFi panels to conversations about building a trading fund, there was something for everyone.

Featured speakers included Emile Machado from Profit 4 Life, Carlos Valencia, Felipe Erazo from XM, Albert Suriol from WS Funded, David Peri from Bullfy, Marcos Suárez from FX Live Capital, Juan Pablo Vieira from Tactical Trading, Eduardo Ramos from VT Markets, and Julio Zambrano from Exness. Each brought unique perspectives drawn from their experiences in global markets and Latin America specifically.

A first edition that was not just a beginning — it was the declaration that LATAM has its own trading ecosystem, and Medellín is its epicenter.

Three Days, One Movement

Day 1 — VIP Night (May 16)

The event began with an exclusive VIP Night, a private networking event for top broker executives, fintech entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. This was an opportunity for deep strategic conversations without the general crowd of the main event. Many of the partnerships and collaborations that emerged from the event were forged during these initial hours.

Days 2 & 3 — Expo Principal (17 y 18 de mayo)

May 17 and 18 were open to the general public. Doors opened at 8 AM each day, and visitor traffic was consistently high from start to finish. The most popular stands had waiting lines. Conference rooms were packed to capacity. The networking area was constantly buzzing with valuable conversations happening in every corner.

Industry Backing

The fact that 30 leading sponsors and exhibitors chose to back the event sent a clear message: the industry believes in Latin America. Sponsorship included some of the biggest names in global fintech and trading: Exness, XM, FX Live Capital, WS Funded, Bullfy, VT Markets, Profit 4 Life, Unitok, Algo Global, Horizon Consulting, MM Tech, Vite Capital, Evo Global, Trii, VIP Class Investments, RBR, Tickmill, Profit Algo, Trokera, Innventa, Bitllon, and Primex.

Each sponsor brought their own audience, their own brand, their own unique value. Together, they created a complete ecosystem where traders could learn about multiple platforms, compare services, and connect with opportunities.

Connections That Last el evento

The most important thing was not the numbers or statistics — it was what happened afterward. The deals executed as a result of connections made at the event. The funds raised. The platforms launched. The job opportunities created. Months after the event, we are still seeing how it impacted Latin America.

One broker that attended the event reported a 400% increase in new traders from the region since the event. A local fintech expanded its team from 5 to 25 people thanks to connections made in Medellín. Two trading educators partnered to create a new educational platform that now teaches thousands of students. The impact keeps spreading.

An Event That Shapes the Future

FX Expo Global Medellín 2025 was not just a successful event — it was a milestone that will mark the history of trading in Latin America. It was the moment when the region stopped seeking validation from the global north and instead began to create its own financial power center.

The event has left a legacy that continues to grow. Connections persist. Collaborations continue. The energy that was generated has driven growth across the entire regional ecosystem. And FX Expo Global's promise is that this is only the beginning. Future editions in Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, and other cities will continue expanding this network, deepening connections, and accelerating the growth of the Latin American trading ecosystem.
