When FX Expo Global announced its first-ever edition in Mexico, the team had ambitious goals — but even the most optimistic projections fell short of what actually happened. FX Expo Guadalajara 2026 became our largest and most impactful event to date, drawing the financial community from across Latin America, North America, and beyond to Mexico's thriving tech capital.
Over three days in February 2026, thousands of traders, brokers, investors, and fintech innovators packed the halls of Expo Guadalajara to connect, learn, and do business in a way that only a live event can enable. Here's a full breakdown of everything that made this edition truly historic.
Why Guadalajara?
Choosing Guadalajara as our first Mexican city was a deliberate strategic decision. Known as Mexico's Silicon Valley, Guadalajara has become the country's leading technology and innovation hub, home to thousands of startups, major multinational tech offices, and a rapidly growing community of digital-native traders and investors.
The city's connectivity — with direct international flights, a world-class convention center, and a large, young professional population already active in financial markets — made it the ideal launchpad for FX Expo Global's North American expansion.
Guadalajara exceeded every expectation we had. The energy on the floor, the quality of conversations, the caliber of sponsors — it was clear that Mexico was ready for this type of event.

The main exhibition floor spanned over 8,000 square meters, hosting 75 companies ranging from global brokers and regional fintech startups to crypto exchanges, trading software providers, and financial education platforms. Visitor traffic was consistently high throughout all three days, with peak hours drawing lines to the most popular booths.
Best Booth Award: FX Leaders (Titanium Sponsor)
For the second consecutive FX Expo edition, FX Leaders took home the Best Booth Award for their immersive live-trading theater experience, featuring real-time market analysis and a custom trading simulator.
International brokers were especially well-represented, with participants flying in from Dubai, Panama, Buenos Aires, and Miami to showcase their platforms and connect with Mexico's growing retail trading community. The expo's trading education zone — a dedicated area with free seminars running throughout the day — was consistently full to capacity.
Conference Program & Speakers
The conference stage ran a packed agenda of 32 sessions across three days, covering topics from macroeconomic analysis and FOREX fundamentals to DeFi innovation, algorithmic trading, and the regulatory future of crypto in Mexico. Sessions were simultaneously translated into Spanish and English, enabling broader participation from both regional and international attendees.
Standout sessions included a panel on "The Rise of Mexican Retail Trading" — featuring four of the country's most followed trading educators with a combined social media following of over 4 million — and a keynote by a former Banco de México economist on the peso's outlook for the remainder of 2026.
Most Attended Session
"How to Build a Profitable FOREX Strategy in 2026" by Carlos Martínez drew over 400 simultaneous attendees in the main auditorium, requiring overflow seating in an adjacent hall.
FX Experts Cup Tournament
For the first time ever, FX Expo Guadalajara featured a live edition of the FX Experts Cup trading tournament, running across all three days on a dedicated trading floor with 50 live workstations. 240 traders competed in a 24-hour simulated trading session with a prize pool of $15,000 USD.
The winner, a 26-year-old trader from Monterrey named Daniel Herrera, generated a 34.7% return in the 24-hour window — an extraordinary performance that earned him the top prize of $8,000 and a spot as a featured speaker at FX Expo Buenos Aires 2026.
Record Sponsorship & Partnerships
Guadalajara 2026 set a new benchmark for sponsorship volume at an FX Expo event. The show attracted 4 Titanium sponsors, 3 Diamond, 6 Platinum, 12 Gold, and over 20 smaller tier sponsors — resulting in a fully sold-out sponsorship inventory for the first time in the company's history.
Several of the sponsors confirmed multi-show agreements during the event, locking in presence at Buenos Aires, Medellín, and Dubai through early 2027 — a strong signal of the community's confidence in FX Expo Global's trajectory.
What's Next?
The momentum from Guadalajara feeds directly into our 2026 calendar. Our next stop is FX Expo Quito on May 29–30, followed by Buenos Aires in September, Medellín in October, and Dubai in November. Registration is open for all four events, and early-bird spots are filling quickly.
And if Guadalajara taught us anything, it's that the appetite for live, high-quality financial events across Latin America is enormous — and we're only getting started.
