The four 2026 editions: Guadalajara, Quito, Buenos Aires and Medellín

Four cities, four countries, one format that traveled. In 2026, FX Expo Global took its expo series to Guadalajara, Quito, Buenos Aires and Medellín. Across the four editions, 7,700+ attendees came through the doors, and 35 industry awards were presented before the calendar closed in Medellín on October 24.

Three of the four stops were firsts: Mexico, Ecuador and Argentina each hosted their first FX Expo this year. The fourth, Medellín, is the city where the tour began in May 2025. This is the year in one read: what each edition delivered, how the four compare and what comes next.

Attendee and award totals add up the figures published for each edition. Registrations are not added up because Guadalajara did not publish a registration count.

February 27–28, Guadalajara: Mexico joins the tour

The year opened at Expo Guadalajara with the first FX Expo ever held in Mexico. Over two days the floor drew 2,500+ attendees, the highest attendance of the four editions, along with 75 exhibitors, 32 speakers and 18 countries represented. Sessions were simultaneously translated into Spanish and English, and the FX Experts Cup ran live on both days from a dedicated trading floor with 50 workstations. Seven awards closed the edition, and sponsorship set a record for an FX Expo event at the time.

May 29–30, Quito: the strongest debut of the series

Quito was the first FX Expo in Ecuador, and its debut drew 4,279 registrations, the strongest debut of the series. On the night of May 29, a closed-door VIP evening gathered 120 guests, among sponsors, CEOs and fund managers. On May 30, a free expo day brought 1,500+ attendees to the floor, backed by 15 sponsor companies. The FX Experts Cup and seven awards rounded out the program.

September 17–18, Buenos Aires: the Southern Cone debut

Buenos Aires took the tour to the Southern Cone for the first time. At Golden Center Eventos, a VIP night for 75 guests on September 17 opened two days that ended with the awards ceremony on the 18th. The edition recorded 3,500+ registrations and 1,500+ attendees, with 12 sponsor brands on the floor and 16 talks and panels on stage. The FX Experts Cup took over the floor with a 40-minute live trading battle, and eight awards closed the program. Registration data showed students as the largest group in the audience, followed by traders and business owners.

October 22–24, Medellín: the year closes where the tour began

Medellín, where FX Expo Global debuted in May 2025, closed the 2026 calendar over three days. The VIP Night took place on Thursday, October 22 at Diez Hotel. The expo, free with registration, ran on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, from 10:00 to 19:00 at Centro de Eventos El Tesoro. Market Close, the official after party, ran from 10 pm to 4 am on Saturday at Hi, I'm SCI Club.

The edition recorded 4,500 registrations, the highest of the three editions that publish the figure, and 2,200 attendees, with 21 speakers and 20 sponsors. Vonix was Titanium sponsor, providing the official lanyards and co-sponsoring Market Close, and Capital Street was Platinum. The FX Experts Cup went live on Friday, October 23 at 13:00 Colombia time, and the official event app gave attendees a way to network.

Thirteen awards were presented, the most of any edition this year, from Broker of the Year (VexPro) and Most Trusted Liquidity Provider (Exura Prime) to Best Agentic AI (Capital Street) and Best Trader LATAM (Emanuel Hernández).

What the year left behind

New countries

Mexico, Ecuador and Argentina each hosted their first FX Expo in 2026, and the debuts drew crowds: 4,279 registrations in Quito and 3,500+ in Buenos Aires. Medellín, the one returning city, added the highest registration count of the year among the editions that publish it.

A format that repeated

Quito, Buenos Aires and Medellín ran the same four ingredients: a closed-door VIP night, a free expo day, the FX Experts Cup on the floor and the FX Expo Global Awards. Guadalajara, which opened the year, already had the Cup and the awards. The result is a recognizable format that travels from city to city.

Recognition

Across the four editions, 35 awards were presented: 7 in Guadalajara, 7 in Quito, 8 in Buenos Aires and 13 in Medellín. Winners of past editions are collected on the awards page.

Looking ahead to 2027

The 2027 calendar keeps the touring model and adds a new destination. Guadalajara returns in May 2027, Medellín in July and Quito in September, and Costa Rica joins in November with an edition in San José. Exact dates and venues are still to be confirmed. The site lists expected attendance at 2,000+ for Guadalajara and Medellín, and 1,500+ for Quito and Costa Rica.

Everything confirmed so far is in the 2027 calendar. Thank you to every sponsor, speaker, attendee and team member who made 2026 possible. See you in Guadalajara.
